MUSEUM PAPOTTE - ARTS AND CRAFTS, RURAL LIFE AND HEMP
Housed in a former cabinetmaker's workshop, this museum brings together all the trades of yesteryear that made life in the countryside possible.
Housed in a former cabinetmaker's workshop, the Musée Papotte immerses visitors in pre-1950s rural life through the trades of yesteryear. All the traditional activities are represented: from the clog maker (machine dating from 1947) to the shoemaker, from hemp work to the saddler. Ancestral tools, lifestyles and skills are clearly presented by enthusiastic guides who sometimes give demonstrations.
