On the outskirts of Talassemtane National Park, the village of Akchour is a must for hikers.
Akchour is a small village nestled between the mountains, some 30km from Chefchaouen on the way to the Oued Laou seaside resort. The site is accessible to trekkers and Sunday walkers alike. Once there, it's best to hire a local guide if you want to discover the best spots. Two must-sees: "Le pont de Dieu", a 25-metre-high rock, and the Akchour waterfall, where you can end your walk with a dip in the turquoise water of a natural pool.
