CLAIBORNE FARM
Go there and contact
A family farm whose history began in the late 19th century in Virginia with Richard Hancock, a veteran of the Civil War, and continued in Kentucky with the creation of Claiborne Farm. Soon, the farm made a name for itself in thoroughbred breeding. If it also welcomes retired or boarding horses, its main activity is still, today, reproduction, where people come from all over the world to breed their thoroughbreds. The visit will allow you to learn more about the different steps that make up the insemination process and will lead you to meet former retired runners. The visit ends with a visit to the cemetery where famous stallions are buried, including one of the world's greatest champions, Secretariat.
