This is Mary Todd's house (1818-1882), which was one of America's most controversial First Ladies. After the death of her mother, she marie here with her father and her second wife in 1932. She lived there from 14 to 21 years before she moved to live with her sister in Springfield, Illinois, and met her future husband Abraham Lincoln.
