The quilt is one of the most representative crafts in the Eastern and Southern United States. These pieces of surpiqués tissue for generations on simple padded blankets have gradually transformed into real works of art. The various materials now used (fabrics, wood, paper…) represent scenes and/or bear a particular message. Most of the works are in the form of tables, some of which have high sales prices. The quilts presented by the National Quilt Museum come from all over the world. Exposures are renewed on average 3 to 4 times per year.
