An ingenious way to combat wall austerity that protects the historic centre of the Ohio and Tennessee rivers: a large mural of over 50 paintings over 350 metres long depicting important moments in the history of the city of Paducah. The paintings were performed by the louisiannais artist Robert Dafford and his team between 1994 and 2007 and then completed from 2008 by Herb Roe. There are typical scenes from the south, between steamboats on the river, Amerindians or African-American heritage.
