U.S. HIGHWAY 23 COUNTRY MUSIC MUSEUM
This museum is dedicated to Kentucky county artists born on the U.S. 23 route, also known as Country Music Highway. This road stretches over a little over 230 km between the two north-east and south-east ends of the state, from South Shore to Jenkins. The exhibition concerns the following artists whose original cities are placed in parentheses: Billy Ray Cyrus (Flatwoods), The Judd (Ashlands), Tom T. Hall (Olive Hill), Keith Whitley (Sandy Hook), Ricky Skaggs (Blaine), Hylo Brown (River), Loretta Lynn (Van Lear), Crystal Gayle (Van Lear), Dwight Yoakam (Betsy Layne), Patty Loveless (Elkhorn City), Gary Stewart (Jenkins). Note the addition in 2015-2016 of two artists: Christ Stapleton (Staffordsville) and Larry Cordle (Cordell).
