HARLAND SANDERS CAFE & MUSEUM
The Sanders Café is the open first Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) in the world. It was in this restaurant that he was owner that Colonel Harland Sanders (1890-1980) developed his fried chicken recipe for 11 herbs and spices in 1937. A recipe that, like Coca-Cola, has so far remained secret and would still be used by KFC. Partly transformed into a museum where one can visit some parts of the time, partly in fast-food, the place is a nice stop but without any claim. To know that the title of Colonel has no connection with the army. This honorary title had been awarded to Sanders by the State governor to reward him for his contribution to American cuisine in 1935, well before the design of the miracle recipe.
