OFFICE DE TOURISME
Viso del Marqués, a town in the province of Ciudad Real in Castilla-La Mancha, offers visitors a unique cultural experience. The town's most emblematic monument is the Palace of the Marquis of Santa Cruz, a remarkable Italian-influenced Renaissance palace built between 1564 and 1588. Inside the palace are the archives of the Spanish Navy. The palace's facade is sober, but the interior is luxurious, with Mannerist-style frescoes in the patio, staircases and salons. Also on the Plaza de Pradillo, in the center of town, are the palace and the 16th-century late-Gothic church of Nuestra Señora de l'Asunción. Visitors can also enjoy the Gardens of the Marquis de Santa Cruz Palace, which offer a peaceful setting for a stroll. For more information on the town and its attractions, visitors can visit the Oficina de Turismo-Museo de Ciencias Naturales "Viso del Marqués".
