A house where you can discover the life and work of Doctor Schweitzer, through archival objects and interactive spaces

Albert Schweitzer had this beautiful house built in 1929 with money from the Goethe Prize awarded to him by the city of Frankfurt. The first floor is dedicated to his childhood in Gunsbach, his love of music, and his studies of theology and philosophy. The basement is dedicated to Lambaréné in Gabon, where Albert Schweitzer opened his hospital in 1913. The scenography features multiple video projections. In addition, an area is dedicated to educational workshops for young and old alike.

Hey ihr lieben Leute, wer sich für die Biografie von Albert Schweitzer interessiert ist dies sehr sehenswert! Ich war persönlich hin und weg. Wir bekamen noch nicht mal mit das Mittagspause war und wurden sehr nett darauf aufmerksam gemacht.
Wir haben sehr viel über Albert Schweitzer erfahren. Von Geburt bis zum Tod.
In Gunsbach, Elsass, ist er aufgewachsen und hat dieses Haus gebaut.
Man besichtigt sein Lebenswerk und die Reisen nach Lambarene.
Eine Reise wert.
Alles behindertengerecht,auch Toilette. Parkplatz vorhanden. Gruppengeregnet.

Sehr eindrücklicher Ort. Das Leben von Albert Schweitzer wird anhand der Gegenstände von der Geburt an bis zu seinem Tod sehr gut präsentiert. Viele Fotos und Videos zeigen das interessante Leben von Albert Schweitzer mit all den berühmten Persönlichkeiten die ihn geschätzt haben. Unglaublich gut dargestellt und alles Originale. Ein Besuch auch mit Familie ist sehr zu empfehlen.
