PARC SOLAIRE DE KARAVASTA
Second largest solar park in the Balkans: 240,000 photovoltaic panels on 196 ha. Owned by French group Voltalia.
Located south of the Karavasta lagoon, this 196-hectare solar park (Parku Fotovoltaik Karavasta) is the second largest in the Balkans, after Kozani in Greece. In operation since 2023, it comprises 240,000 photovoltaic panels and can generate 140 MW, equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of 220,000 people. The complex belongs to the French company Voltalia, and was built at a cost of 100 million euros.
