From your parking lot, head towards the Tuauru valley (650 m) - the Mille Sources area -, which you can reach in 1h30 walk. It is from here that the difficult ascent of the Orohena begins. Allow 1h30 to reach Moto Fefe (1 142 m), then 1h30 for Pihaaiateta (1 742 m), 2h for Pito Iti (2 110 m), and another 2h crossing the ridge line to your final goal: the highest mountain in Polynesia (2 241 m).
