2024
Created in 1920, this garden once covered 137 hectares, planted with hundreds of varieties of exotic flowers and trees, which Smith imported from America, Asia and Africa. Abandoned several times after his death, it was bought back in part (only 18 ha) by the government. Closed since May 2023 to allow construction of a scenographic space dedicated to the life and work of Paul Gauguin. The site will be accessible via a footbridge through the māpē forest

Prix 600 francs.
