TAHITI PRO TEAHUPO’O
A much-anticipated stage of the World Surfing Championship, which is held every year in Teahupoo.
This is the seventh stage out of eleven of the World Surf League's "Elite SURF" World Championship. For competitors from all over the world, this stage in Teahupoo is one of the most awaited and feared because of the power of the waves and their danger: the presence of coral reefs in shallow water makes the spot very technical. However, since 1997, this not-to-be-missed and no less prestigious competition brings together the best surfers in the world and obviously delights enthusiasts.
