TAHITI PRO TEAHUPO’O
A much-anticipated stage of the World Surfing Championship, which is held every year in Teahupoo.
This is the seventh of eleven stops on the World Surf League's World Championship Tour (WCT). For competitors from all over the world, the Teahupoo stage is one of the most eagerly awaited and feared, due to the power of the waves and their danger: the presence of shallow coral reefs makes the spot highly technical. No problem: since 1997, this not-to-be-missed and no less prestigious competition has been bringing together the world's best surfers, and of course delighting surfing enthusiasts.
