Next to the small Mormon church, a path goes down into the Haranai valley. It leads to a pumping station about 200 m away, then you have to follow the river to discover the lithic monuments, and search well because it is not easy to find. You will discover a tiki with a phallic shape, as well as beautiful engraved turtles (petroglyphs). A little further on, in the Vaitia valley, a large flat stone is considered to be the legendary pirogue of the god Hiro. To understand everything about this site, it is best to be accompanied by the Albert guide.
