On the west side of the island, a huge cavity measuring 40 m by 30 m and 15 m high, punctuated by highly eroded stalagmites. The grotte de A'eo, which translates as "frightening", or Vitaria, is also sometimes referred to as the grotte de Mitterrand, since his visit in May 1990, when he was treated to song and dance in a veritable natural theater. In the southern part, take a look at the cavity measuring around 2.50 m in diameter: this is where prisoners were cooked for the evening kebab!
