Every year on the same date, the descendants of the Bounty mutineers gathered and commemorated the arrival of the English ship on the coast of Tubuai on 28 April 1789, after a mutiny had broken out on board. Books and archival image exhibitions trace the history of the arrival of the first Europeans on this southern island. This celebration is also an opportunity to taste good local specialities and to attend craft competitions.
