Welcome to Manfred Drechsler, the official chocolate maker of Ua Pou! Ring the bell and wait for your man... Originally from Germany, Manfred set down his suitcases in the Marquesas Islands in 1997, planting a few feet of cocoa there. His creations contain only cocoa butter and especially no palm oil. White, red, white inner bean, with orange or puffed rice: its tablets are wreaking havoc. You can also buy his chocolate in the form of slabs. Finally a smart plan for mini-budgets: see with him if you can pitch your tent.
