RESTAURANT HOA NUI

On the banks of the Vaiao River, north of Atuona, this friendly restaurant opened its doors in 1987, so much so that the adorable Kaimuko, at the helm, rubbed shoulders with Jacques Brel when he was 14 years old! He concocts himself a classic Marquesan cuisine (lobsters, goat's cheese, pork or other fish with coconut milk for example). A true institution, the Hoa Nui has nevertheless lost some of its splendour since it no longer works with the Aranui: it is now mainly open for special events and weddings, too bad!
