Castle with a breathtaking view of the saltworks, displaying the remains discovered during archaeological excavations.

This castle was probably built during the Muslim period between the 10th and 12th centuries. From the top of its ramparts, there is a breathtaking view of the salt flats, the Guadiana which marks the border with Spain, and the surrounding landscapes. As a bonus, a museum that presents the remains of archaeological excavations discovered on site. And on the last weekend of August, the castle plunges back into the past with a major medieval festival.

La visite du château présente plusieurs intérêts, dont la vue exceptionnelle sur la côte, la ville et les salines n'est pas des moindres ! Le parc, tout en relief, ainsi que la longue étendue des remparts offrent de multiples balades. Dans l'enceinte, actuellement se font des fouilles.
