When night falls in Salir, the shops close their doors one after the other, leaving the village to keep a peaceful watch. It's hard to find a place to eat: only one place is still open, and luckily it's good and cheap! Porto Doce is therefore a must for locals and visitors alike at the end of the day. Run by a Franco-Portuguese couple, the establishment comprises a take-away snack bar and a restaurant. The cuisine is simple and very local (ribs, beans), but everything is homemade.
