GORSLINE MUSEUM
Museum presenting the works of Douglas Gorsline in Bussy, and those of the Lady of Bussy, Marie Gosline, are exhibited there.
Douglas Gorsline (1913-1985) studied at the Yale Art School and the Art Student League before teaching at the National Academy of Design in New York. After several exhibitions around the world, he settled in France in the 1960s. A noted illustrator, he moved away from the realism of the 1940s to take an interest in the work of the Cubists and Duchamp. The Gorsline Museum opened its doors in 1994 and pays tribute to his work under the aegis of Marie Gorsline, the so-called Lady of Bussy, with the help of the Association of Friends of the Gorsline Museum.
