In just over 6,000 hectares, hares, deer, wolves, wild pigs, desert cats, foxes and countless colorful birds live side by side. Created in the 1970s, the reserve is all that remains of an unexpected forest in the middle of the Kyzyl Kum desert, originally five times larger than the original, but partly lost when the Soviets developed intensive agriculture in the cotton fields. It's possible to spend the day here with a guide, or go horseback riding. Sunrise and sunset are the best times.
