SAN MIGUEL ISLAND
The most remote island of the land and the wildest with a harsh climate proposing to make a hike.
This is the most westerly island, the furthest inland but also the wildest. It covers 38 km2and has a harsh climate. Its waters are cold and it is constantly swept by powerful winds. It's possible to hike here, for example to Cuyler Harbor Beach from the ranger station. To make the 23 km round trip to Point Bennett, you'll need to be accompanied. You won't be disappointed when you arrive, admiring the thousands of sea lions and elephant seals lounging on the beach!
