SITIO ARQUEOLÓGICO DE TIKAL
An archaeological site covered by a thick tropical forest and home to a multitude of fauna, over 4,000 structures have been counted.
65 kilometers from Flores and 35 kilometers from Remate, the ancient city is located in the Parque Nacional de Tikal, founded in 1955 to preserve this unique heritage. Since 1979, it is one of the few sites to be classified by UNESCO as a cultural and natural heritage of humanity. The place is covered by a thick tropical forest populated by a multiple and noisy fauna. If more than 4 000 structures have been counted, only a few have been discovered.

The price is quite high (150q) and it is necessary to pay to have a map, something essential for the visit. Your best bet is to ask for a free map of Tikal in a " Inguat".
No restaurant service in the park (only what to eat) bring your sandwiches because the visit is long (to see all the temples)
