PORT
Ferries. Athens. Two to four ferries a day from Piraeus (7 to 10 hours of crossing) with frequent stops in Naxos, Paros, Ios, and less regularly in Sikinos, Folegandros and Milos. There is no ferry service between Santorini and Rafina. Some ferries stop at the foot of the village of Ia before docking, 30 minutes away, at Athinos, the island's main port.
Cyclades. To the northeast, Ios (2 hours of crossing), Naxos (3 hours) and Paros (4 hours) are the best served, especially by ferries from Athens. Mykonos is at 5:00. To the northwest, there are connections to Sikinos (2 hours), Folegandros (2 hours 30), Milos (5 hours), Kimolos (5 hours 30), Sifnos (8 hours), Serifos (9 hours) and Kythnos (10 hours). Very far from the other Cyclades, Anafi is easily accessible from Santorini, since it is only 1.5 hours by ferry.
Hydrogliders. The island is connected by hydrofoil 2 to 3 times a day from Piraeus and once a day from Rafina. The crossing lasts from 5 to 6 hours depending on the stopovers. Ios, Naxos, Mykonos, Paros, Sikinos, Sifnos, Serifos and Crete are also served.
