This superb lake lies at the foot of the Ranrapalca and Oxhapalca nevados, in a wild setting at 4,000 m altitude. The hike begins, surrounded by spectacular scenery, towards Nevado Vallunaraju (5,686 m), Ranrapalca (6,162 m) and Ocshapalca (5,881 m). Arrive at Laguna Llaca with its turquoise water at around 4,474 m altitude. From here, you can enjoy a splendid panorama of the snow-capped mountains. There's also a refuge where you can spend the night and climb Vallunaraju. To be arranged through a local agency.
