IGLESIA SAN LUCAS
Five minutes from the beach, the San Lucas church, planted in the middle of the desert, fascinates with its bell tower so white that it turns the sand and the rest of the building grey. Dating from 1535, it was the first church built in Peru by the Spaniards.
The church has a nave, two corridors, a gable roof, a choir and a sacristy. According to archaeologists, it could be said that it has a colonial type base. In the center there is an altar with a baroque architectural and artistic structure from the 16th century. According to studies, it is the first church in all of South America.
