OLD FORT ERIE
Visits and animations in a remarkable fort, offering one of the most important reenactments of the events of 1812 in Canada.
Built at the end of the 18th century, this fort was not finished when the United States declared war on Canada on June 18, 1812. Partially destroyed over time, it has been completely restored. Today it offers one of the most important re-enactments of the events of 1812 in Canada. The battles are striking during the annual re-enactment of the siege of Old Fort Erie and recall the episodes of 1814 that made Old Fort Erie the bloodiest battlefield in Canada. A variety of animations are on the program.
