Parish church built in the century and rebuilt in 1782 in Achada.

The parish church of Nossa Senhora da Anunciação, built in the 16thcentury and rebuilt in 1782, is well worth a visit, especially for the view it affords of the cliffs of the north coast, in the shade of a superb araucaria tree. But it's above all on the other side of the EN1A, at the bottom of a narrow gorge, that you can admire the lovely Achada waterfall, amid a veritable forest of pittosporum.
