In the middle of this huge coastal valley of Rio Grande de Manatí was one of the most important sugarcane plantations of the 19th century. Follow the historical trajectory of the Hacienda La Esperanza, now the headquarters of the nature reserve. During this tour, you will visit the different structures that make up the historic site of La Esperanza, including the Sugar Mill and its unique 1861 West Point Foundry steam engine. Around the site, you can access beautiful hiking trails that run along the coast.
