Reserve housing craft stores and accommodation options.
The Oribi Gorge crosses the eponymous plain and the KwaZulu-Natal plain. The canyon is then crossed by the Mzimkulwana River. In the heart of the reserve, near the waterfalls, there are hiking trails and picnic areas. It is possible to go rafting. Craft shops and lodging options are available within the Oribi Gorge Reserve itself. It is a 20-minute drive from Port Shepstone, a half-hour drive from Margate, or about 35 km northwest of Port Shepstone.
