Not far from the Eastern Gate, on the banks of the River Tuo, this ancêtres hall built in 1836 is a typical architectural treasure of traditional and rural China. The Yang, a popular surname in China, is one of the important lines of Fenghuang, hence the construction of a hall dedicated to the memory of their ancestors. Incense burns daily, and plaques remind the name of the most influential patriarchs. Other halls of this type are scattered across the city, including the hall of the ancestors of Tian.
