AUBERGE DES CAPUCINS
Inn with five decorated rooms offering a unique and authentic place to stay.
The Auberge des Capucins is a small hidden treasure in the heart of Chatillon sur Seine. Cross the porch at the end of the stalemate, you arrived and park your car in a paved and enclosed courtyard that is already charming. Set in a former monastery of Capuchin monks, these rooms offer a unique and authentic place of residence. The building, which was built between the 17th and 18th century, has preserved a true charm, but rather that of a bourgeois house with its woodwork and stone pavement of Burgundy. Your hosts Agnes and Philippe Bujard have the sense of hospitality and enjoy welcoming you at their home. The five rooms are tastefully decorated by taking care of keeping the character of the house, the bedding gradually passes in 180 cm in large spaces. The sumptuous décor is decorated with second-handed objects and the furniture is beautifully patinated. The change of scenery is immediate and especially, it is very calm. We strongly advise you to book your table d’hôtes. Already for the pleasure of dining in the dining room, and then for the one of exchanging with Philippe and Agnès, learn that Philippe is an oenologist, he spent many years in a great Bordeaux wine house. The menu is concocted in the expected spirit of Burgundy. In winter, it takes place in front of the big fireplace.
