The Chef's chocolates are excellent as well as his raspberry charlottes, but what we prefer is caramel chiffonnades. This pastry is a real treat with the flavours and textures blending perfectly! If you prefer salty items, you will not be disappointed because a catering service is also available. On the menu: pâté en croûte, terrines, quiches, cakes, salads, meat or gratins. Whether you prefer a cold dish or a hot one, you can be sure that it will be tasty and well presented. At Easter celebrations, the shop window is worth a look: Serge Barbier makes chocolate eggs worthy of a theatre decor. Finally, as soon as summer is back, the Barbier shop prepares its delicious homemade ice cream. This pastry shop lives up to its promises and the number of customers is a proof of the quality of the products which are sold. If you go to Châtillon-sur-Seine, a gourmet detour is compulsory! Once in the shop, it is impossible to resist.

Un délice merci a vous
Lors de mes différents passages à Châtillon, je vais (enfin j'allais) à la pâtisserie Barbier ! Je ne regardais pas les prix car cela avait un caractère assez exceptionnel.
Courant décembre, après avoir acheté 4 parts de bûches à 4 parfums différents, la facture était bien salée et les bûches beaucoup mais beaucoup trop sucrées, je pense que ce n'était pas du tout à la hauteur de ce prix excessif. Le goût n'était pas très prononcé. Nous étions 3 à les goûter et avons à peu près autant mal apprécié... Certes je n'étais que de passage, la prochaine fois je m'abstiendrai.
Le prix n'était pas affiché, je n'avais qu'à demander après tout, mais bon, si encore le goût avait été au rendez-vous j'aurais écris un avis certainement plus positif !
Je comprends que le métier est un très beau métier et que cela doit être dit, seulement j'estime et cela n'engage que moi que le goût très léger bafoué par l'excès de sucre gâche la réputation d'une "pseudo" excellente pâtisserie du châtillonnais.
