ALASKA STATE FAIR

This agricultural festival held at the local fairgrounds in Palmer is dedicated to the amazing vegetables that grow here with uncommon size and the agricultural business in general in Alaska. Competitions, records, concerts and various games are organized during ten days between the end of August and the beginning of September. A kind of agricultural show, Alaskan version. Here, as in Paris, one can take advantage of the occasion to admire beautiful animals and especially to taste a lot of local specialities on a multitude of gastronomic stands.
