In the small village of Thazi, a few kilometres east of Meiktila, two small, unpretentious guesthouses are adjacent to each other on the main road through the village. Both are inexpensive and very well kept: Moonlight Guest House and Wonderful Guest Houses. Here the atmosphere is family friendly and welcoming. There are double and twin rooms, all simple but clean and quite comfortable. The Moonlight Guest House has a small local restaurant on the ground floor where you can have a snack.
