Hacienda Muñoz, very accessible from San Juan (1 hour drive), is the most visited of all the coffee plantations in Puerto Rico, and therefore the most touristic. The guided tour allows you to get to know the fruit of the coffee, its development, the process of fermentation, production, roasting, quality control. It is followed of course by a tasting. Plan to arrive 30 minutes before the tour. For the hungry, the coffee shop offers sandwiches and pastries. A gourmet restaurant is also open to visitors at lunchtime.
