GROUND OF MAÑANA
This desert and volcanic area, located south of the laguna Colorada, is famous for its numerous geysers
To the south of the Colorada Lagoon, this desert and volcanic area, which oscillates between 4,800 and 5,000 m in altitude, is renowned for its numerous geysers. The geothermal activity produces geysers and fumaroles that can project jets of hot water vapour more than 50 metres high! Move around this area with extreme caution, as the geysers and craters are very, very dangerous and have already resulted in accidents with third degree burns. A few kilometres away there are thermal pools.
