On the reserve, the community launched a program of reforestation of trees and flowers. In addition, the population applies to conserve the natural habitat of animal species, including toxic frogs in the process of extinction.Minimizing impact: waste is sorted, given to animals or processed into manure. All the people who work there belong to the community. At the arrival of every tourist, $ 1 is paid in a joint fund dedicated to the Maleku community.
Handcrafted products made by residents are sold in the reserve information centre.
