WILDBROOK RETREAT
The Wild Brook Retreat is located in the middle of the Nalani valley at the foot of the Himalayas. The camp, surrounded by virgin forests and streams, consists of large charming tents and huts built from local materials.
Solar energy; no use of pesticides and insecticides; waste sorting and recycling; Jeep safari works for oil, less polluting than diesel.
On site, possibility of carrying out a Jeep safari and elephant dos in the Rajaji National Park accompanied by naturalist guides; rafting on the Ganges River; walks in villages and on the edge of many nearby rivers, bird observation (possibility of trek in the Himalayas upon request).
Members of the local community were trained in guidance services (trekking, observations observations) and the maintenance of the camp. Projects for sustainable agricultural cultivation (use of organic manure; hives to promote the exploitation of honey…) and development of local co-operatives have been put in place.Did you know?
