LA PLACE ANNE-LAPRÉVÔTÉ
A typical winegrowing village with its medieval half-timbered houses, its wine presses and the Anne Laprévôté square
A century ago, this former main square was home to coopers, cafés, winegrowers, and medieval half-timbered houses. If the town of Chenôve is nowadays considerably urbanized, this old winegrowing village has kept its identity and the vestiges of the past. Place Anne Laprévôté, named after a benefactress of the city, is in the heart of the old village and continues its history. Fountain, facades or listed buildings, are all elements to be observed between the few cafés or restaurants that still border this pretty shaded square.
