ROSE GUMS WILDERNESS RETREAT
Located on a property of 115 ha of rain forest and eucalyptus, on the edge of Wooroonooran National Park, Rose Gums Wilderness Retreat has been awarded many awards for its tourism and ecotourism benefits. The structure offers 4 wooden chalets built in the trees with all amenities including kitchen to prepare meals. An Asian restaurant is also in the property. Several activities are proposed to visitors, including: bird observation, walks to discover the fauna, flora and waterfalls on the trails in the property, visit the national park Wooroonooran. The institution participates in a reforestation program and supports environmental associations. Visitors can purchase a tree that will be replanted in compensation for the carbon emission generated by their transportation.
