Calm and serenity are the words that describe this place. The dedicated brother hotelier offers very good two-bed rooms or five-bed dormitories. Communal showers are bucket-water operated, but there is a hot-water tap and cauldron in one cabin. The estate is planted with trees and is a veritable botanical garden. Among the trees are jackfruit trees, with their large fruit called "jacques", Caribbean pines, ebony and rubber trees... Silence and sombre clothing are required of all guests, whether religious or not.
