CATEDRAL DEL ESPIRITU SANTO D'EL VALLE

In Baroque style, the stained glass windows tell us about the daily life scenes of the fishermen and people of the village. Celebrated on September 8 for a week, people say that, thanks to this virgin, Hurricane Ivan (8 September 2004) saved them to 10 km off the island. By leaving the right, a replica of Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes is visible in a mini cave which serves as a place of offerings. The only difference that, in this copy, the Virgin is left.

On the square next to the cathedral there is a taste of papelón con juice (sugar cane, lemon, ice) and the famous empanada empanada (molluscs).
