ECOLE DES ARTS CHEVIGNOIS
The Chevigny-Saint-Sauveur music and dance school has been a member of the departmental scheme for artistic and musical education since 2010. Managed by the Office Culturel Chevignois, the music school has almost 200 students and offers some fifteen disciplines, based on a school project open to collective practice. Right from the start of their musical apprenticeships, young musicians join the many existing orchestras (string ensemble, brass, flute, jazz, choir) to complement individual lessons with collective practice to learn the highly enriching "playing together". Since 2014, the Quetigny and Chevigny schools have joined forces with their wind ensembles, and a fine inter-school harmony is already taking shape at an excellent level. In 2015, the school's string orchestra formed its own ensemble, Accord Perdu, to perform in public. Every year, the school puts on a project for an end-of-year show, and the pupils are assiduous, growing with the school whose level of performance is beginning to be noticed. During the year, several events are organized to showcase the students' work: Fête de la Musique, Summer String Workshop, Concert at the Visitation Church.... The dance school has 200 students and offers classical and modern jazz dance classes for all ages.
