Since 1994, the Walnut Avenue Cafe has been a Santa Cruz institution, especially for its famous breakfast and weekend brunches. Locals flock there to get a coffee to go or to taste the nine-grain pancakes . The various omelets and eggs Benedict are also frighteningly good. A sweet mix of flavors between Mexico and California. The interior is relaxing and the terrace is large and sunny. A nice address, in the heart of the city, for brunch lovers. Beware of the crowds on weekends.

I am very glad we decided to try this spot for breakfast. The service was great and so was the food! Get yourself a hot chocolate and enjoy!!

It was a great experience until my vegetarian friend found beef in his mushroom burger. The restaurant then humiliated us by giving us a ' special discount' of $4 on our bill for this mistake.

I've been meaning to go here for years and I'm so sad I didn't do it sooner. Absolutely amazing food and good portion sizes. It was so hard to choose a dish because they all sounded amazing! Will definitely be back as soon as possible!
