Riva Fish House takes its name from a small Italian village on the Ligurian coast, Riva Trigoso. The menu therefore makes a few nods to the country from which it takes its inspiration, with a nice selection of various pastas. You can also eat the local American-Italian specialty, cioppino, a delicious fish stew prepared according to the catch of the day. In addition to all these tempting proposals, Riva is worth a visit for its perfect location on the Santa Cruz pier, with a breathtaking view.

The clam chowder is easily in my top 3! The rum runner was refreshing and the surf and turf tacos were exquisite (if a little spicy).
Staff was courteous and attentive. Even with every table seated, the ambiance and views were relaxing and enjoyable.
Certainly worth a visit if you’re in Santa Cruz.
