RISORGIMENTO MUSEUM
Museum preserving documents, weapons and objects evoking the battle of 1859 at Solferino.
A small museum whose three rooms contain documents, weapons and objects that evoke the battle of 1859 and, more generally, the Risorgimento, a period of Italian history at the end of which the House of Savoy unified the various regions of the peninsula by freeing itself from Austrian domination. In homage to the French, the second and third rooms display portraits of the French generals who took part in the battle and of the imperial family. In the park that surrounds the museum is the Ossuary Chapel (free entrance).
