PARQUE NATURAL SEÑORIO DE BERTIZ
Natural park with oak and chestnut trees, foxes, wild boars and otters, once owned by Don Pedro de Ciga
This natural park of more than 2,000 hectares of chestnut and oak trees is inhabited by the fox, the wild boar and the otter. Before becoming public, it was the property of Don Pedro de Ciga, who acquired it in 1889. A traveller and passionate botanist, he created a magnificent garden with more than 120 species of trees thriving between waterfalls and artificial lakes. Numerous paths have been laid out and an information centre has been installed in the owner's former summer palace.
